The technical condition of the market was mixed during the period after an early drop was followed by a mid-month rebound, only to tumble into the finish. The technical indicators for the different indexes nudged into neutral ground with MACD, a short-term trend gauge, drifting lower and Momentum, as measured by the 14-day RSI, positive but slowing.
